Heather Lorelle Mattisson, PMP
Manager of the People Rotation Program
Heather brings over 20 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, program and product management to Gusto, and holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from Kellogg School of Management. She has been PMP certified for over 15 years, and has won recognition awards for her roles in software product launches and program management at several firms.
Heather is Manager of the People Rotation Program at Gusto, and builds growth and development programs that foster leadership skills and resiliency in People Team’s talent pipeline. She is also an Executive Coach to those inside and outside Gusto, and a facilitator and trainer on communication, leadership and relationship-building.
Prior to Gusto, Heather managed Strategy & University Partnerships in Global Diversity, Inclusion and Social Impact group at Intel Corporation. There, she drove programs that met Intel’s long-term diversity and inclusion goals, and partnerships with some of Intel’s education partners, such as Georgia Tech and historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
Heather has also held Product Management roles at Ticketmaster and Omedix, a patient portal startup, and managed the product launch and software product management process for multi-million dollar clients.
Heather believes that how we work is just as important as what we accomplish, and so she is a Certified Integral Coach® and VitalSmarts® Crucial Conversations Client Trainer. She volunteers her time with communities she is passionate about, and so she is a board member for both Inclusive Engineering Foundation and Take the Lead Women. She is also an Advisor for SheLEADS, a leadership development and skills training workshop series for women, and has been a member of a book club that has lasted over a decade.
