Tele-Presence, Managed Services 2.0, and Reducing Carbon Footprint

The cost and difficulty of travel are pushing organizations of all kinds of enterprises (healthcare, government, education, etc.) to leverage collaboration technologies. The introduction of high definition video along with latest achievements of full-band audio dramatically improved the collaboration experiences and created immersive telepresence environments that invigorate distributed high-performance teams. The panel of will discuss the drivers and inhibitors for telepresence adoption in different types of organizations, and focus on how telepresence helps address the specific organizational challenges. The panelists will also discuss the tools they use to estimate the carbon footprint reduction achieved by deploying telepresence. Finally, the panel will discuss the role of managed services in telepresence deployments, and identify the areas where service providers can apply their expertise and differentiate their service offerings.
