Tele-Presence, Managed Services 2.0, and Reducing Carbon Footprint

The cost and difficulty of travel are pushing organizations of all kinds of enterprises (healthcare, government, education, etc.) to leverage collaboration technologies. The introduction of high definition video along with latest achievements of full-band audio dramatically improved the collaboration experiences and created immersive telepresence environments that invigorate distributed high-performance teams. The panel of will discuss the drivers and inhibitors for telepresence adoption in different types of organizations, and focus on how telepresence helps address the specific organizational challenges. The panelists will also discuss the tools they use to estimate the carbon footprint reduction achieved by deploying telepresence. Finally, the panel will discuss the role of managed services in telepresence deployments, and identify the areas where service providers can apply their expertise and differentiate their service offerings.

	Stefan Karapetkov Emerging Technologies Director, Video Communications Solutions Group Polycom Inc.	Stefan Karapetkov is Emerging Technologies Director at Polycom, where he focuses on video conferencing market and technology. He has an MBA from Santa Clara University and an MS degree in Engineering from the University of Chemnitz. Mr. Karapetkov is fluent in four languages.

Speakers

	Paul Bradley Director, HP Collaborative Solutions Hewlett-Packard GmbH	Paul is responsible for the business management, sales and deployment of the HP Halo Collaborative Solutions. The goal is to enable global corporations to have face-to-face, real-time communications so they can efficiently manage their business between many dispersed locations around the world.

	Marshall Eubanks Chief Technology Officer Iformata Communications	Mr. Eubanks is CTO of Iformata Communications, a Telepresence and videoconferencing service provider, and has played a role in development of Telepresence for over 6 years. He is also the co-chair of three IETF Working Groups, Multicast Backbone Deployment, Layer 3 VPNs and FEC Framework.

	Taras Matselyukh Business Services Solutions Architect Juniper Networks	Mr. Matselyukh is creating new architectures for demanding business services solutions for business service providers that deliver more compelling offers to their enterprise customers.
