The IEC's On-Line Education Program began in 1997. This widely acclaimed worldwide educational resource is a partnership among the IEC, an expanding number of industry organizations, and academia. The current IEC Web educational program is the result of a product-development process that has benefited from input from leading universities in the field of on-line learning, including the University of California at Berkeley, Stanford University, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Illinois Institute of Technology, and Northwestern University.
