The use of IP networks for transporting broadcast video is on the increase. Rapid development of the underlying transport technologies for securing quality of service (QoS) when using IP for transmission of video has led the way for this new type of IP network traffic. Because errors in video transmission are not acceptable, the major challenge in implementing IP for network providers is to provide an IP packet delivery service with the best possible QoS and least errors.
