Next Generation Service Architectures — Creating a Managed Enterprise Services Opportunity
C5

Next-generation network architectures are evolving, pushing IP and Ethernet closer to the edge of the network, as well as providing new intelligent service control capabilities that enable an array of new service opportunities. As a result, the costs associated with providing managed enterprise services are decreasing, and the potential functionality of the service offering is increasing.

The managed enterprise services market is one of the most pressing markets for the application of this new capability. As enterprises continue to become more dependent on networks to link employees, partners, and customers to applications from anywhere at anytime, the impact on enterprise IT administrators has increased dramatically. As a result, enterprises are looking to service providers to begin to offer a managed services platform that offers businesses a fast, cost-effective, and secure way to gain access to a broad portfolio of network-based services. This panel will review the architecture and services it enables for ICT customers.
