Why Should Enterprise Companies Care about this "IP Transformation?"

The evolution towards IP-based converged architectures have been a common strategy adopted by Service Providers under the NGN umbrella over these past several years. There are several dynamics associated with this IP transformation such as the broadband revolution, multiple service deployments in the form of video, voice, data, (so called triple play), and with mobile, (quadruple play), mainly targeted for the mass consumer. However, what about enterprise companies? What are the drivers towards rapid adoption of IP-based capabilities, such as IP PBX for internal usage and external connections; IP Centrex, IP Business trunking and so on? What are the barriers? What are the challenges in terms of expected functionalities, trust, an replacement of legacy enterprise infrastructure? What is required to guarantee a return on investment especially given the current macroeconomic and financial conditions? The participants in this session will articulate the impact of the IP Transformation to Enterprise businesses in what we can expect to be a lively discussion! In the end, why should enterprise companies care?

Monique is interested emerging technologies and disruptive business models.

He has focused his career on the communications industry, architecting and delivering networking solutions for large enterprise clients and service providers.

	Anke Gill Vice President, Marketing Broadband Network Systems Ltd	Ms. Gill has more than 15 years experience in the telecommunications industry and is responsible for the strategic direction at BNS, one of the leading IPTV systems integrators in Asia.

	Michael Lawrey Executive Director, Network and Technology Telstra	Mr. Lawrey has more than 35 years’ experience in telecommunications across a diverse range of areas including construction, planning, engineering, operations, enterprise customer unit and service. He has particular strengths in operations, planning, architecture, design and the engineering.

	Magnus Leonhardt Head of Strategy, Consumer & Business Applications Ericsson	In this position Mr. Leonhardt is driving the overall strategic direction for Ericsson Business Applications. He has more than 18 years in the Telecom industry, mostly focusing on product management and business development within Business communication solutions, products and services.
