In 2005, Mr. Pileri became the Telecom Italia Group's chief technology officer, reporting directly to the chairman, with responsibility for orienting and coordinating fixed-line/mobile integration and Group network technological development. From 2000, he filled this position at the Wireline Business Unit. In 1998 Mr. Pileri was appointed Telecom Italia S.p.A Network manager. In 1997, he was head of the Network Management Planning and Development Unit. In 1996, he took over responsibility for Network Customer Planning and Development at Telecom Italia's Network Division. From 1993 and 1994, he worked as Network manager for the Emilia Romagna region. Mr. Pileri began his career at SIP in 1982, where he was promoted through positions of increasing responsibility in the Network department, specializing in Management Systems.
