Protection Tube

Optical Fibre Protection Tube (OFPT) offers the ultimate protection to optical cables and fibers. It provides protection against crushing and kinking of fibers and hazardous tensile loads, while limiting any bends to an acceptable radius. By incorporating OFPT in the production of patch cords we have developed a robust installation product that we call TuffNutTM.
The TuffNutTM cables can be rapidly deployed into pre-installed micro-duct with the aid of a unique battery power tool, the WAMTM, which pushes the cable into place.
For FTTX deployment, TuffNutTM QuickpushTM drop cables are pre-terminated with ferrules assemblies that can be pushed directly to a subscriber's home or office where the connector body is snapped into place allowing a network connection to be quickly made without the need for splicing.

A comprehensive range of customer specified modules can provide PLC Splitters, Couplers, WDM's, PON patch panels and MPO Plug & Play systems that have excellent optical performance and high reliability. The PLC Splitters to include 1xN up to 64 split and 2xN up to 32 split.

FTTX provides integrated high bandwidth voice, video and data services directly to the subscribers. With contamination historically being responsible for over 80% of network downtime, service providers, OEM's and installers, should be concerned by potential impact of contamination on such network.
