Technologies on Display
Multi-Screen IPTV
Move beyond individual services and create synergies between personal devices ( mobile phone; PC); and shared family devices (TV) with Comverse Multi-screen IPTV. Comverse will demonstrate fixed-mobile IPTV service continuity and seamless video transfer between the mobile phone; PC and TV; EPG; PVR and VoD access from the mobile phone; TV channel personalization and access to Internet services from the TV. Demonstrations will also show how a Community Channel on the TV can act as the family bulletin board where text; voice and video messages can be stored along with videos; photos and music. The Community Channel can also be used for instant messaging services between mobile phones; PCs and the TV.
SIP-based Femtocell Solution
Comverse presents a new approach to femtocell solutions that represents a solid foundation for multi-play services across fixed and mobile networks; optimizes expenses and ensures future-proof service evolution. Femtocells can reduce OPEX for homezone-type services by using the broadband IP backhaul instead of the macrocellular backhaul to transport voice traffic. 3G femtocells can also enhance coverage while reducing CAPEX; meaning that mobile operators don't have to invest in denser 3G macrocellular networks and can instead focus investments on roll-out of triple play. Advantages of SIP-based femtocell services include defining filtering rules on a "family switchboard" that specify which personal mobile phone should ring; based on who is calling the main; land-line family number.
Fixed-Mobile IPCentrex
Comverse will demonstrate how to extend Centrex services into the mobile world for a profitable business communication offering. Comverse IPCentrex solution can be used by fixed; integrated and mobile operators for deployment of fixed-mobile service bundles for all enterprise types and sizes. Services can be tailored to different employee work styles; increasing enterprise productivity and cost-efficiency. Demonstrations will include dual-mode Wi-Fi/cellular services; network attendant console; auto-attendant and personal conferencing services and service integration with Microsoft desktop service suite.
