Support of an Agnostic Access through Intelligent Edge — Combination of the Fixed and Mobile A-Gateway
D5
Network architectures are contemplating a major change of intelligence distribution between IMS, SDP, and the newly establishing session control gateway. This session control gateway, which supports fixed and mobile access, is an extension of the A-GW of the NGMN and is under development at the key vendors in the industry right now. The session will describe the enhancements being made in combining these areas, establishing the NG BRAS, including the NG DPI, and creating a new comprehensive edge gateway for supporting storage connection for video, advertisement insertion, and a number of important elements in security as well as Web 2.0 support.
