WiMAX 802.16 (e) — Life in the Real World
C4

There are weighty expectations on mobile WiMAX to deliver hitherto unprecedented wireless data speeds over significant distances. In the real world WiMAX faces a number of challenges, not least from the spectrum allocated to WiMAX in many countries and a lack (initially) of proven mobile devices. The speakers will look at these challenges and address how operators and network equipment manufacturers can reduce their deployment risk by thoroughly testing the performance of techniques such as MIMO and beamforming under real-world conditions.
