In addition to the Metro Ethernet Forum, Mr. Chen is the vice president of Product Management and Marketing at Strix Systems, the leading provider of wireless Ethernet mesh equipment. Before Strix, he was the vice president of marketing at Atrica Inc. and director of product management and marketing at Force10 Networks while serving as a founding member of the Board of Directors of the 10 Gigabit Ethernet Alliance (10 GEA). He also spent four years at Nortel/Bay Networks/SynOptics.

Alon Bassman

Mr. Bassman has more than 15 years of experience in the telecommunication industry and with telecom operators worldwide. He joined Actelis Networks from Seabridge, a Siemens company, where he was the director of sales for APAC and OEM channels, responsible for the carrier Ethernet and ATM sales in Asia. Prior to Seabridge, Mr. Bassman was with ECI Telecom both in the Access and SDH business units in marketing and sales positions. He has vast experience in the markets of access, WLL, and transmission. Mr. Bassman holds a B.Sc. in electronic engineering from Tel-Aviv University.

Halo Duan

Mr. Duan is responsible for solution design and planning at Huawei Datacom. Previously, he worked as a product line manager in R&D for Harbor Networks, prior to its acquisition by Huawei. For 12 years, Mr. Duan focused on network infrastructure from SNA/APPN to Internet and from ATM to metro Ethernet. His key interest today is routing/MPLS/Ethernet.

Greg Gum
Vice President, Marketing and Business Development

Mr. Gum is responsible for managing ANDA's overall product P&L, marketing, business development, M&A, and international expansion efforts. Prior to ANDA, he held several executive positions as principal managing director of Tsunami Ventures, an early-stage incubator fund, and as vice president of business development at Ishoni Networks, a broadband communications semiconductor and software company. Prior to moving to Silicon Valley, Mr. Gum held several executive positions at USWEST/Qwest Communications.

Jeremy Johnson

Mr. Johnson works with carriers and industry leaders to promote the adoption of carrier Ethernet solutions and technologies. Previously, he was the regional director for Asia-Pacific at Atrica, which was acquired by Nokia Siemens Networks in early 2008. At Atrica, a leading provider of carrier Ethernet solutions, Mr. Johnson was responsible for sales in the region. He holds a first-class honors degree in communication and electronic engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Rotem Salomonovitch

Mr. Salomonovitch is responsible for developing carrier Ethernet services in APAC. He works with service providers across the region to explain the evolution of Ethernet as a technology, Ethernet market trends, and which architectures should be used to deliver Ethernet services. Recent activities include Ethernet QoS architecture definitions, OAM and performance requirements for Ethernet services, VoIP evaluation, and the rollout of a national VPLS and metro Ethernet network supporting more than 6,000 VLAN-based services in Australia.

K. J. Singh
Principal Architect

Dr. Singh is recognized chiefly for his contributions to the architecture of Tejas' carrier Ethernet platforms. Prior to Tejas, Dr. Singh led the development of a 400 Gb/s multiservice intelligent packet switch for metro Ethernet and core switching. Dr. Singh has four patents to his name and several pending. He has also won several accolades for technological innovation and has a slew of publications to his credit. He has a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science from University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Tech in electrical engineering from IIT in Kanpur.

Matthew Squire
Chief Technical Officer

Dr. Squire is a recognized expert on Ethernet, MPLS, IP, ATM, private networking, and VoIP. He holds nine patents and has more than 15 in the pipeline, many of them in the areas of efficient and reliable emulation of LAN services, virtual private networks, VoIP, and simplified configuration and provisioning systems. Dr. Squire was a founder and chief architect at WindWire, where he designed and built WindWire's "Best of Breed" wireless ASP infrastructure. He chairs the IEEE 802.3ah OAM work group and is the editor of the Metro Ethernet Forum's OAM document.

Victor Zhang
Director, Solution Marketing, IP Division

Mr. Zhang is responsible for promoting Ethernet/IP/MPLS products and the IP transformation solutions portfolio, which spans residential triple play, business VPNs, mobile IP transport, and multiservice network convergence. He is also the APAC marketing co-chair for the Metro Ethernet Forum. Mr. Zhang received his Bachelor of Applied Science in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto and his M.B.A. degree from Hong Kong University.
