There is the theory of what it takes to launch IPTV services, and then there is the practice. What are the small issues that became major hurdles? What are the big issues that never really mattered? All the participants in this panel have had laurels and scars from commercially launching IPTV services; an open discussion followed by recommendations for launching commercial IPTV services is the goal of this panel.

Mr. Mehta focuses on software solutions designed to enable telecommunications and cable companies to deliver audio and video services to consumers using their IP networks. He is responsible for driving overall strategy and vision for MSTV's IPTV products and defining product positioning, packaging, pricing, research, and product rollout plans. Prior to Microsoft, Mr. Mehta was global head of Nokia Broadband Media solutions for fixed-line operators delivering audio and video services over DSL.

Mr. Ben-Moshe has more than 12 years of international experience with positions spanning various technical and management roles. He co-established Integra5, a pioneer in unified messaging over TV, and was personally responsible for the design, implementation, and deployment of a world-class IPTV middleware. Since joining Alcatel-Lucent, Mr. Ben-Moshe has taken senior responsibilities for E2E triple-play solutions projects, including Swisscom's triple-play deployment, and involvement in numerous projects such as AT&T, Slovak Telecom, Ya.com, Chunghwa Telecom, Arcor, and SingTel. He was the chairman of Consortium and Overall Project Leader for the Triple Play project at Deutsche Telecom, where he also led the project executive steering committee.

Pow Min Chong
Head, Advanced Multimedia Services
StarHub Ltd.
Mr. Chong is responsible for the product development, marketing, and business strategy of advanced IP services in the fixed-mobile convergence arena. Prior to this appointment, he headed the Business Services unit of StarHub's Corporate Sales division. Mr. Chow led a team of technical professionals to provide telecom consultancy, pre-sales support, project implementation, and after-sales support to the company's business customers. Before joining StarHub in 2001, Mr. Chong spent four years as the Asia Pacific solution marketing manager for Cisco Systems. He started his career at Novell, where he spent six years holding various positions in systems engineering, pre-sales, and business development for the ASEAN market.

Low Ka Hoe

Mr. Ka Hoe joined SingTel in April 1995. He has held various management roles in different business units, from manager of M&A activities in SingTel Strategic Investments to COO of SingTel Global Offices to managing all of SingTel's consumer sales points. Before his current role, Mr. Ka Hoe was posted to Telkomsel in Indonesia, where he assumed the role of VP for Products and Mobile Data Services. In May 2006 he assumed his current role as director of mio TV and Content. In this role Mr. Ka Hoe is responsible for SingTel's mio TV and content businesses as well as driving new media and converged services.

Vipan Seth
Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group

Mr. Seth is responsible for marketing strategies and planning for the entire Home Business Group, including entertainment, information, and communication services such as DTH, IPTV, and consumer broadband. He has the honor of working in Fortune 500 companies in the media, entertainment, publishing, telecom, broadband, and technology sectors. He also taught marketing courses at UCLA. Mr. Seth also worked in India for two years as an American expatriate for a large U.S. communications company. He has his M.B.A. from SNHU and completed advanced management and executive programs at Harvard Business School.
