The Future of WiMAX
A5

This session will discuss business evolution trends of broadband and wireless; different expectations from end users; and operators, service providers, equipment providers, and wireless technologies coping with theses trends and expectations. The wireless market is growing with increasing subscribers, network usage, bandwidth, and individuals' dependence. And end users want broadband, ubiquitous and flat-fee.

In this session, the opportunity for WiMAX and differentiation and unified evolution of WiMAX technology in this evolving market will be further discussed and analyzed. How does WiMAX address the market needs and end users', operators', and service providers' expectations? What will be the success factors for WiMAX technology comparing with other wireless technologies, i.e., 3G/HSPA/LTE? How are the market, current performance, evolution ecosystem, and future opportunities?
