Workshop 1

This workshop organized by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) will provide a worldwide update on Ethernet activities, Carrier Ethernet services, and MEF specifications, developments, and industry activities. It will include technical discussions on mobile backhaul and end-to-end OAM and network-to-network interfaces along with a discussion on Carrier Ethernet for business and a service provider hot seat discussion on what’s real and what’s not regarding services for both carriers and enterprise and inside information on implementing Carrier Ethernet.

Mr. Beyen leads the European Business Development team for Orange Business Service's Network Solutions division, focusing on existing and future network services. These services include the market leading IP VPN service, and complementary services like Internet Direct, Managed Ethernet Link, and International Ethernet Link. In his current role he holds P&L responsibilities, interacts with large enterprise customers, provides marketing analysis and guidance, and communicates Orange's positioning for Network Solutions to external audiences. He has more then 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with Orange Business Services and BT Global Services working in the areas of Engineering, Product Management and Business Development.

Mr. Ramamoorthy holds an M.S. in computer science from the University of Kentucky and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management.
