This workshop organized by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) will provide a worldwide update on Ethernet activities, Carrier Ethernet services, and MEF specifications, developments, and industry activities. It will include technical discussions on mobile backhaul and end-to-end OAM and network-to-network interfaces along with a discussion on Carrier Ethernet for business and a service provider hot seat discussion on what’s real and what’s not regarding services for both carriers and enterprise and inside information on implementing Carrier Ethernet.

Pieter Beyen European Business Development Orange Business Services and Member Metro Ethernet Forum

Mr. Beyen leads the European Business Development team for Orange Business Service's Network Solutions division, focusing on existing and future network services. These services include the market leading IP VPN service, and complementary services like Internet Direct, Managed Ethernet Link, and International Ethernet Link. In his current role he holds P&L responsibilities, interacts with large enterprise customers, provides marketing analysis and guidance, and communicates Orange's positioning for Network Solutions to external audiences. He has more then 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with Orange Business Services and BT Global Services working in the areas of Engineering, Product Management and Business Development.

Gary Bolton VP Marketing and Product Management Hatteras Networks

Mr. Bolton joined Hatteras from Ciena Corporation where he served as vice president of broadband access marketing. Prior to Ciena, he was vice president of product marketing for Catena Networks. Over 5 years, Mr. Bolton grew Catena from an early stage start-up to a profitable broadband access company.

Mario Aliotta System Architect Nokia Siemens Networks

Mr. Aliotta is leading a project aimed at designing innovative packet-based solutions for the backhaul of mobile networks. During the past three years, first at Siemens and subsequently at Nokia Siemens Networks, he played an important role as a system designer in the development of several microwave products.

Henrik Bremerskov Director of Strategic Marketing Actelis Networks

With a strong customer focus Mr. Bremerskov has been involved in a number of large scale early deployments of various new technologies. Before joining Actelis he managed trials for T-Mobile UK and Vodafone UK that tested back-hauling of Cell Site traffic using EFM and CES. Mr. Bremerskov holds a Master of Business Economics and Computer Science from Copenhagen Business School.

Arie Goldberg Chief Technologist and Chief Executive Officer Omnitron Systems Technology, Inc.

Mr. Goldberg is co-founder of Omnitron Systems Technology, Inc. Before Omnitron, Mr. Goldberg directed the development of numerous telecommunication and computing products for Western Digital, Alcatel, Modcomp, and Myrias Research. Mr. Goldberg holds B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees and is an active member of the MEF.

Eve Griliches Program Director, Telecommunications Equipment IDC

Ms. Griliches provides in-depth insight and analysis on service provider routers and switches as well as the optical networking market. Ms. Griliches also provides critical business intelligence on emerging technology trends and their impact on the overall telecom market space.

Mr. Haentejens was one of the key people behind the launch of Belgacom Explore, which combines Belgacom's various networks into a single infrastracture based on IP & Ethernet. Previously, she worked as a data network expert and product manager for the data VPN product.

Paul Indoo Product Marketing Manager Nortel Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Mr. Indoo is responsible for raising the awareness of Nortel's carrier Ethernet solution among customers, press, and analysts as well as training Nortel sales teams to increase their understanding of carrier Ethernet technologies. He joined Nortel through the company's graduate program and has since held senior positions in sales engineering, network planning, and business development.

Kevin Martin Vice President, EMEA Hatteras Networks

Mr. Martin joined Hatteras from Worldwide Packets, where he pioneered their efforts in Europe. Mr. Martin has also held key leadership positions for other major telecommunications suppliers, including Ciena, where he was instrumental in growing its European business.

Jonathan Olsson Standardization Coordinator, Systems and Technology Management Ericsson

For the past two years, Mr. Olsson has been the editor of the MEF Mobile Backhaul Implementation Agreement. In addition to his leadership in the MEF, Mr. Olsson is also active in the IP/MPLS Forum’s MPLS in Mobile Backhaul Initiative.

Siva Ramamoorthy Head of Marketing Tejas

Mr. Ramamoorthy heads the Marketing function at Tejas Networks and is responsible for evangelizing Tejas’ carrier Ethernet solutions at various forums. Prior to Tejas Networks, he had a rich experience with Intel India, Nortel Networks, and Netscape Communications Corporation. Mr. Ramamoorthy holds an M.S. in computer science from the University of Kentucky and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management.

Ms. Rutten has more than 10 years experience managing international data products. She's been working on Ethernet products for the past five years and currently has a new one under development as well as expanding an existing product in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
