InfoVision Awards
The InfoVision Award program recognizes technologies, applications, products, advances, and services judged to be the most unique and beneficial to the telecommunications industry.

InfoVision Awards will be presented in the following categories:

  • Access Network Technologies and Services
  • Network and Services Management and Operations
  • Wireless Broadband
  • Content, Entertainment, Applications, and Services
  • Broadband Appliances, Devices, and Home Networking
  • Enabling Silicon and Component-Level Technologies
  • Core Network Innovation and Advances
  • Metro Network Technologies and Services
  • New! Go Green*
  • New Product Concepts

Products eligible for InfoVision Awards must be commercially announced or in deployment prior to 29 August 2008.

Exception: Entries in the category of New Product Concepts must be commercially announced a maximum of one month prior to the Broadband World Forum Europe and no later than 30 September 2008.

* This new category recognizes those companies that have implemented environmentally friendly practices or programs that benefit both the environment and the telecommunications industry. Products or programs in this category should be commercially announced or implemented prior to the Broadband World Forum Europe.

Finalists will be judged by a panel of industry experts according to the following criteria:

  • Value of service or technology in solving recognized technology problems, meeting network requirements, optimizing service and performance, and/or enhancing customer service
  • Overall quality of innovation and contribution to technology advancement
  • Originality and vision
  • Potential contribution toward positive industry growth and service
  • Market success/acceptance (where applicable)
  • Contribution to end-user quality of experience and service efficiency
  • Benefit to environment/adherence to green practices (for Go Green category only)
