Mr. Weiershausen is currently an active as consultant and project manager, heading the project EIBONE at DT, which covers both the areas of next-generation core network architectures and of DWDM transmission technologies, with focus on R&D and strategic consulting for DT Headquarter. From 2001 to 2004, he was responsible for 40Gbit/s and Ultra-Long-Haul activities at T-Systems, coordinating different projects on migration planning and implementation strategy for Deutsche Telekom's national core network. Mr. Weiershausen has been active in several national and European projects and research programs, COST actions and different standardization bodies.
