Evolution of Access as Part of NGNs
F3
Next-generation network architectures provide new data and voice services for customers as well as economical advantages for service providers by converging two networks into one. With the use of advanced techniques such as crosstalk cancellation and dynamic spectrum management, the NGN rate and reach performance can be maximized.
NGNs together with appropriate CPE support new features such as wideband voice, which allows operators to offer classes of voice services.
Furthermore, continuous monitoring functions for line and service quality can be provided to allow operators to implement proactive network management for decentralized cabinet or FTTx deployments.
This session is about techniques and system architectures for cost- and performance-efficient NGN deployments as well as new services that can be offered by NGNs.
