How Carriers Can Take Control of the Home
E4
Traditionally carriers have found Wi-Fi to be an unreliable, unmanageable technology of convenience over which it is virtually impossible to deliver service-level agreements. However, with Wi-Fi now firmly established as the consumer's technology of choice, and with most carriers now offering some digital home services, they must look to overcome these problems and take control of their wireless networks in the home.
This session will address the following:
- The limitations of traditional Wi-Fi
- The truth about 802.11n and its use for video and voice
- How carriers can monetize home networks
- The potential offered by hotspots at home
