Call for Speaker Proposals
Conference Overview
Broadband networks and capabilities are changing the nature of communications, content, and entertainment. The need for anytime, anywhere connectivity of all forms is changing not only communications and entertainment, but also how and where it is consumed. These changes are creating interesting services and applications along with new ways and issues on how to compete, bill, and secure networks and content.
The Broadband World Forum Europe is designed to help content and service providers explore the possibilities and challenges by examining the range of broadband content both fixed and mobile, entertainment, applications, service management, networks, technologies, and integration that form the future of communications and entertainment. This educational program and exhibition will examine the latest developments in the areas of wireless broadband applications, IPTV, broadband mobility, home networking, and revenue-driving applications, services, and content delivery strategies and technologies. Belgacom is pleased to serve as official program sponsor for the Broadband World Forum 2008. Submitting a Speaker Proposal
Speakers who wish to participate and speak at the BBWFE 2008 may visit www.iec.org/events/spt/speakerLogin.asp?CONF_ID=92 and select Broadband World Forum Europe 2008. You must then select the session you wish to submit for from the drop-down menu of sessions. Session abstracts, including chair information, are available on the event Web site at www.iec.org/events/2008/bbwf/conference/schedule.asp.
Speaking proposals may also be submitted directly from a session on our Web site. All speaker proposals need to be submitted using the speaker's e-mail address in the registration proposal process. An e-mail is sent directly to the speaker confirming receipt of his proposal. Please do not submit using anyone else's e-mail address other than that of the speaker. Contacts for a speaker may add their information later in the process, but not at registration of a speaker. As with all IEC conferences, the session chairs make the final decision regarding who will speak on their panels for that particular session. If your proposal is selected, an automatic e-mail is sent from the submission system followed by direct contact from the chairperson further confirming your participation. Speaking proposals received early on in the process have a better chance of being selected (please note this is a supplemental tool for the chairs). If selected as a speaker on a panel, you will receive complimentary admittance to the conference. There is no sponsorship fee required to speak. Thank you for your interest in participating at Broadband World Forum Europe 2008. If you have any questions, contact Kate Lyons, forum coordinator, at klyons@iec.org or +1-312-559-3326 or Pitsa Madoch, director of Content, at pmadoch@iec.org or +1-312-559-4601.
