Corrigent's line of Packet Transport Switches (PTS) is designed for Service Providers and MSOs. They create Layer 2 multiservice metro transport networks and interface with L2/L3 Switches, Routers, SONET/SDH, DSLAMs, and WDM equipment. Corrigent's PTS enable new applications, including Triple-Play (voice, video and data), Carrier Ethernet Services, and Multiservice Aggregation.
Technologies on Display
- Packet Transport SwitchCorrigent Systems will release their new packet transport architecture and equipment at the C5 World Forum. The Packet Transport Switching (PTS) architecture supports any topology. It is a packet-based transport system that converges data and circuit traffic onto a single platform. The PTS enables new applications for subscribers while significantly reducing costs for service providers. The PTS architecture represents the next step for Carrier Ethernet switches and simultaneously represents the evolution of MSPP equipment.
The PTS represents a new trend for service providers away from separate networks for voice and data. It provides the bandwidth and intelligence needed to support the new services demanded by both fixed and mobile data and voice applications.
