Eugenio Iannone

Mr. Iannone is responsible for business development, application engineering, and market validation. He has held this position for five years after returning from a short stint with Cisco. In 2001, he moved to Cisco's DWDM business when Pirelli Optical Systems was sold to Cisco. There, he had product management responsibilities in the network dimensioning group. Mr. Iannone joined Pirelli in 1997 as a member of the network optical design team for Pirelli Optical Systems. Prior to Pirelli, Mr. Iannone spent 10 years at Fondazione Ugo Bordoni in Rome, Italy, as a researcher in optical transmission systems and optical networks. During this period, he published more than 100 papers in international technical journals. In addition to that, Mr. Iannone published two books, Nonlinear Optical Networks and Coherent Optical Communication Systems. Mr. Iannone is also the author of four international patents on optical transmission, optical switching, and architecture of optical networks. |
