Single IMS Across Multiple Networks
14:15 – 15:45 | Thursday, 29 March

So far IMS has been used mainly in mobile networks for services such as video sharing and push-to-talk. IMS is not a mobile-specific service, though, and as various terminals and applications are supporting SIP and various IP-based data networks more and more, IMS-based services will be used more broadly over various networks.

This session presents operator, terminal, and application views on using IMS across various networks.

Operators will tell how they see the evolution of IMS and IMS-based services across fixed and mobile networks and share what they have learned from IMS trials they have conducted.

Terminal presentation will cover the implications of IMS and IMS services over various networks on the terminal development and terminal evolution. Presentation will cover how IMS and IMS services will be enabled across various types of terminals.

This session will give the audience a good end-to-end understanding on IMS and IMS services being implemented and used across fixed and mobile networks.
