CHICAGO – May 24, 2007 – Bringing its global broadband event to mainland China for the first time, the The International Engineering Consortium's (IEC) presents the deputy minister of Ministry of Information Industry (MII), Mr. Yaoping Jiang, and the National Development and Reform Commission's (NDRC's) high-technology department director, Mr. Qin Xu, this 5-8 June as part of the Broadband World Forum Asia 2007. The forum takes place at the China World Hotel at the China World Trade Center.
IEC President John Janowiak stated, "We're extremely delighted that MII and the NDRC have decided to join us in welcoming the world to the first-ever BBWF Asia in mainland China. We're truly honored to have the privilege to present them along with China Netcom to the entire global industry."
Joining them at the forum are keynoters Chunjiang Zhang, chairman of the board and president of China Network Communications Group Corporation; Xun Sheng Zuo, executive director and chief executive officer of China Netcom; Alex Deng, senior vice president of Huawei Technologies; Alex Arena, group managing director of PCCW; and Bill Barney, chief executive officer of Asia Netcom.

The Broadband World Forum Asia 2007 will present a total of nearly 300 international industry experts to speak in more than 60 keynote addresses, plenary panels, a Hot Seat session, workshops and sessions.
