CHICAGO – May 21, 2007 – The debut of the The International Engineering Consortium's (IEC's) Broadband Content Forum takes place at the Broadband World Forum Asia 2007 this 5–8 June in the China World Hotel at the China World Trade Center in Beijing, with China Netcom as the official host sponsor.
"As traditional telecom companies continue to make successful, aggressive advancements towards integrating interactive and entertainment content to their service offerings, content is becoming more and more of a priority for them," IEC Vice President Tom Costello commented. "We expect invaluable networking opportunities for carriers, content owners and suppliers at the Broadband World Forum Asia next month in Beijing."
The Broadband Content Forum will feature industry executives at the forefront of content development. It will provide education, information, insights and solutions for a range of developments that are critical to application and content developers; service providers; wireless, wireline, and local-exchange carriers; system and solution providers; and Internet service providers. Session topics include user-generated content, social networking, digital rights management, mobile broadband, IPTV, the digital home, advertising, gaming, revenue-driving applications and services and content delivery strategies.
Mr. Costello further commented, "As carriers have long been seeking alternate revenue streams to their traditional wireline business, many are looking to quad plays to reduce customer churn and provide the services that customers need via converged networks. This new forum will show them exactly how to do that."
