The advent of broadband networking is changing the nature of communications. To survive and thrive, carriers must offer not only voice service, but also a growing variety of broadband-enabled content and entertainment services. They must evolve their access networks, rework their network management and operations, and engage new business models that will drive revenue in a new world of competition.
The Broadband World Forum Asia is designed to help service providers meet this challenge by examining the range of broadband content, entertainment, applications, access strategies, service management, and integration that form the backbone of the profitable network operator. This educational program and exhibition will examine the latest developments in mobile broadband, IPTV, FTTx, metro-area Ethernet, the digital home, and revenue-driving applications, services, and content delivery strategies.
Companies that wish to deliver a 20-minute presentation during one of the seminar sessions or workshops in this conference are invited to submit a proposal for review. Proposals should contain the following information:
- Title of the presentation
- Title of panel session in which it would be delivered (see schedule for an abstract of each panel and workshop)
- A 150-word abstract of what will be covered in the presentation
- Name and biography of the proposed speaker
- Name and information of the contact person for the session
Speaking proposals are due to the IEC by
Monday, 15 January 2007 and should be submitted on-line. Proposals are forwarded to the chairperson of the appropriate panel session(s) for review.
Companies may submit proposals for more than one panel session. The chairperson of each session has the final authority in determining the lineup of presenters in his or her panel.
Speaking proposals are accepted up until the time of the conference, since on occasion an unforeseen development may require substitute speakers to participate. However, proposals received by the 15 January due date have the best chance of being included in the program.
The Broadband World Forum is produced by the
International Engineering Consortium, a nonprofit organization dedicated to catalyzing technology and business progress worldwide in a range of high-technology industries and their university communities.
