The Role of WiMAX in Delivering Broadband Services
Plenary Panel

Latin America is a region of contrasts where you can find extremes of wealth and poverty along with all the shades of gray in between. The demographic distribution also runs from huge empty spaces to dense urban areas. Under these boundary conditions, WiMAX flexibility will play a relevant role in providing economically feasible broadband access to fixed customers as well as in complementing the wireline broadband offer to mobile users. Topics discussed include bandwidth needs for different cases, ideal conditions to apply, limits, road maps, and D versus E standard applications.
