Real-World WiMAX Scenarios, Solutions and Business Aspects
E1
WiMAX shows great potential to be a leading and cost-effective technology for service providers that lack a 3G license or related infrastructure but want to offer broadband wireless access. With mobile WiMAX, service providers can offer wireless broadband access beyond the home and office, making the personal mobile Internet a reality.
Fixed WiMAX Internet access is the early mainstream revenue generator for operators and other service providers. However, mobile WiMAX will provide a much wider choice of applications.
Where will WiMAX be deployed first? How is the WiMAX radio performance in the real world, and what is the business case behind it? Which experiences have operators made?
