How to Ensure End-to-End QoS Control for Successful Service Delivery in a Converged Architecture
D2

Independent content providers continue to flourish with a successful business model that leverages inexpensive delivery over today's broadband networks. Leading service providers that face further commoditization of their broadband access business are taking concrete steps toward high-value content services and application-based services. This urgent quest is driving new QoS control into commercial networks to deliver multimedia services reliably in a converged network and is dramatically changing the relationships among service providers and content providers.

DPI, combined with behavioral analysis, is enabling new business and service opportunities by providing much-needed visibility of application traffic. With DPI-based policy solutions, service providers can integrate existing services into the emerging IMS architecture; explore application-based QoS services and better control application behavior affecting the delivery of IP services.
