The digital environment is a scenario of opportunities for service providers. The secret to explore these chances lies in making a simple and familiar environment for the clients. The offer of a friendly digital environment demands action of service providers in the following three segments:

  • Connection of the digital environment to the supplier's network
  • Management of the devices connected to the digital environment
  • Management of the applications demanded by this environment

This panel's objective is to discuss experiences and plans of service providers and its production chain in order to create a favorable scenario for this digital environment.

Mr. Dutra is an electrical engineer and has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications area. He worked in operations and maintenance, mainly in links and optical links transport systems. Mr. Dutra has much experience in broadband and data services for subscribers, as well as in the technology area, including network planning, implementation, and engineering of telecom networks.

Mr. Cardoso started this position in April 2007 with the debut of Nokia Siemens Networks. He previously held the same position in the area of telecommunications with Siemens Ltda. Mr. Cardoso started his career with Siemens, working in the area of exports and designed various networks and projects. In Brazil, he was responsible for developing technologies in the area of switching sets as a technical consultant. He was transferred to Germany and is responsible for the new-generation network architecture group under Siemens and later became the director of R&D at the Curitiba plant. Mr. Cardoso has a Ph.D. from MIT.

Mr. Fonseca is responsible for the Communication Brazilian Commission (CBC 6). The study group is responsible for the elaboration of new regulations about electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility for the telecommunication products and the elaboration of technical normalization in several aspects on outside plant such as project, products, maintenance, and planning. Prior to Anatel, he worked for Telebras and Telemig. He was the manager of the outside plant division at Telebrás and manager of the products qualification division at Telebrás.
