Stan Claes, senior product manager at Thomson, has more than 10 years of experience in access and network technologies. He is in charge of the data product line, where he is responsible for product road map and strategy. His main challenges today are maintaining profitability in a maturing market and introducing new technologies such as fiber, VDSL, and 802.11n. Prior to joining Thomson through the acquisition of the DSL gateway business form Alcatel in 2001, Mr. Claes held various positions in Alcatel's corporate research group and the ADSL Virtual Company.
