The next step in DSL deployment is reached. Both ADSL2+ and VDSL2 have been implemented successfully in different networks around the globe.
Nevertheless the evolution of the capabilities of DSL technologies will not stop. Furthermore new requirements will appear in the future. For instance the higher penetration of advanced DSL technologies could cause problems of the inherent interference of the copper plant. Also higher link budget resources could be required due to weak in-house cabling at the customers' premises.
What are the challenges of ADSL2+ and VDSL2 coexistence, and how can they be overcome? What about xDSL technologies beyond ADSL2+ and VDSL2? This session examines recent advances in DSL and gives an outlook of the topics for further studies in the next phase of standardization efforts. Join this panel of technology and service provider experts as we examine the current state and future prospects of DSL technologies.
