The evolution of IMS enables operators and service providers to bridge legacy and next-generation rich-media communications, with a converged service delivery network. IMS networks can also be leveraged to rapidly deliver a set of bundled offerings for the consumer and enterprise customer.
Advanced personalized and interactive services such as EPG for mobile TV, shared video applications and personal content delivery services positively impact subscriber acquisition, retention, and ARPU. Visual contact centers and video communities and moderated chats are just some examples that represent today's trends in the voice, video, data, and mobile convergence.
The session will cover multiple perspectives of 3G mobile and next-generation networks video communications, discussing the latest trends, technologies, and business considerations.
The session will address issues of service delivery now versus waiting for IMS. Personalization of services and user-generated content and their importance will also be stressed.
