Mobile Gaming: The Game Console in the Consumer's Pocket
C1
According to some analysts, worldwide there were predicted to be 135 million 3G users by the end of 2006, rising to almost 800 million by the end of 2010. With 3G coupled with the Web, MMOs, virtual worlds, and traditional media, companies are now experimenting with new forms of gaming and entertainment that were unreachable even five short years ago. That begs the question: How does mobile gaming converge with and help drive the next level of connected gaming?
Our panel of gaming and mobile experts will draw on their experience to cover this question, including such subjects as the following:
- How mobile handsets are now — and will continue to — transform traditional gaming
- The convergence of handsets, PCs, the Web, and on-line gaming
- Whether it is a game or a lifestyle
- Creating a social network — it's more than single play
- Creating multiple revenue streams through mobile gaming
