Where is WiMAX Going? A Discussion with WiMAX CEOs
14:45 - 16:15 | Thursday, 12 October
Hyperbole has played an especially large role in the world of WiMAX. Pundits seem to delight in predicting the inevitable omnipotence of WiMAX as supreme commander of all things wireless, or as a doomed, although technically interesting, also-ran.
What's the reality for WiMAX? In some markets, WiMAX will simply dominate. The economies and benefits of this leapfrog technology make it perfect for deploying in a wide variety of environments, and it will be the primary means of connectivity. In other markets, WiMAX will fill an important role in bringing broadband access to otherwise remote areas.
