The 100Mbps iConverter 2FXM and the Gigabit iConverter 2GXM are fiber-to-fiber converters and Network Interface Devices (NIDs) with integrated management. The 2FXM and 2GXM support dual or single fiber and feature CWDM Small Form Pluggable (SFP) fiber transceivers. The 2FXM and 2GXM are available as plug-in modules, or as standalone units with optional DIN Rail mount. As standalone NIDs, they can provide a managed Ethernet fiber demarcation point. As plug-in modules, they can manage other modules in a multi-module chassis via Ethernet backplane connectivity. This enables multi-module configurations such as redundant rings or fiber distribution switches with multiple copper and fiber demarcation points for customers at a Multiple Tenant Unit (MTU) or end users at an Enterprise department.

NetOutlook is an intuitive, SNMP-based network management software application that provides detailed, real-time network status and configuration control of iConverter fiber access equipment. Using NetOutlook, network managers can monitor network status, configure module parameters and receive user-specified traps (including Dying Gasp). The new NetOutlook version 3.2 supports Omnitron's Secure IP-less Operations Administration and Maintenance (OAM) and IEEE 802.3ah OAM management. With Secure IP-Less management, NetOutlook enables network managers to prevent denial of service attacks because the IP-address is not available on the user network. NetOutlook lowers operating costs by reducing truck rolls to edge equipment locations and lost profits from customer down time by remotely configuring network parameters and quickly diagnosing network problems.

The 1-Module Redundant Power PoE Chassis provides enhanced Ethernet demarcation for Customer Premises or mission-critical Enterprise applications. The chassis features Power over Ethernet (PoE), power redundancy, two fully configurable 10/100 UTP ports and four relay contact closures for alarm notification. Power options include redundant DC or DC/PoE power with load sharing and hot-swappable power connections. The two optional 10/100 UTP ports connect to the installed iConverter media converter module via the chassis' Ethernet backplane. The chassis features four optional contact-closure alarm sensors to monitor UPS battery status or other external devices that monitor moisture, temperature, or opening and closing of enclosure doors. The chassis can be monitored and configured via management software, and generate alarm status traps.
