Optitect Premier Cabinets
The OptiTect™ Premier Cabinet, an innovative local convergence point cabinet featuring a much smaller size and weight than traditional cabinets. As optical fiber and the related equipment move closer to the home, there has been a desire to make the equipment smaller, less intrusive, faster and easier to install. In developing the OptiTect Premier Cabinet, Corning Cable Systems utilized its leadership position in both cabling and hardware technology. The cabinet's reduced size and weight was made possible through a variety of innovations, including the optimization of fiber management, development of smaller splitter modules and reduced module leg length. The OptiTect Premier Cabinet is currently available with 144-, 288- or 432-subscriber capacities.
Evolant Advantage MDU Solutions
Corning Cable Systems innovative solution for multi-dwelling unit (MDU) applications provides cost-effective solutions for bringing optical fiber to each floor or all the way to individual residential units in MDU buildings. The MDU solution is part of the Evolant Advantage Solution, featuring factory-terminated products that reduce installation time and deployment costs. These factory-terminated products - found from the central switch to the customer premises and optimized for MDU applications - allow carriers to add subscribers quickly and simply on an as-needed basis when they sign up for services. Each MDU application is unique, from building size to construction codes to aesthetics. Corning Cable Systems offers a complete solution to meet the requirements of every deployment scenario.
OptiSheath™ Premier FlexNAP™ Terminal Distribution System
The OptiSheath™ Premier FlexNAP-TM_ Terminal Distribution System results in up to 75% labor time savings and 25% first-installed cost savings in the deployment of optical access networks. The FlexNAP System consists of an optical cable pre-installed with network access points (terminals) at customer-specified locations and a tethered, environmentally hardened MT connector. The network access points consist of a patented, flexible pre-installed overmold closure. A flat drop tether cable is attached to the network access point. Once service is required, an OptiSheath Terminal, equipped with an environmentally hardened MT plug, is plugged into the tether. Installation of the FlexNAP System is then complete. Reworks and failures are reduced due to each cable in the FlexNAP System being 100 percent factory tested.
