The OpVista2000 is the only product that provides an instant upgrade to 10G without infrastructure changes for dispersion compensation or regeneration. Combining key technologies of Ultra-DWDM (U-DWDM), Scalable-Reconfigurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexing (S-ROADM), and Switched Ring Architecture (SRA), the OpVista2000 provides operators with the flexibility, scalability, and availability to upgrade their network without increases in capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenses (OPEX). OpVista's patented U-DWDM technology provides unmatched network capacity up to 800Gb and extended reach of up to 1000 km without costly regeneration. U-DWDM takes a 10Gb stream of data, comprised of a wide variety of inputs, and splits it into 8 2.5Gb sub-wavelengths, all carried over standard ITU grid 100GHz spaced channels. This enables the transport of 10G traffic on an infrastructure engineered for 2.5Gb, without having to add additional amplification or dispersion compensation. The latest enhancement to the OpVista2000 is the ROADM Interface Care (RIC), which extends OpVista's single wavelength reconfigurability to existing DWDM systems, enabling operators to increase functionality and reduce OPEX without increasing CAPEX. The OpVista 2000's broadcast and select architecture coupled with the company's S-ROADM capability facilitates any-to-any traffic patterns, and eliminates both service disruptions and costly truck rolls when expanding or turning-up new services. This scalable approach provides full flexibility, and coupled with SRA, full availability, with a low total cost of ownership.
