Half-Day Workshop 1
End-to-End IPTV
9:00 – 12:00 | Monday, 9 October

This workshop will focus on the transparent delivery of IPTV services from an end-to-end perspective. The nine primary functional disciplines involved with seamless video delivery will be reviewed. This will provide attendees with a working knowledge of the interrelated IPTV building blocks required, from access to content (Step one) to video delivery on the end user's television (Step nine). Presenters will include recognized experts in the fields of content, broadband services, middleware, set-top box technology, home networking, and back office applications.

Service providers participating in the workshop will be involved in the delivery of IPTV services in Europe. Service providers will provide experience-based insights on what is necessary to ensure delivery of the 99.999 percent quality-of-service video experience. At the conclusion of the workshop, both the IPTV novice and the seasoned expert will have a new appreciation for the end-to-end service delivery dynamics as service providers introduce the third component of the voice-data-video triple play.
