Plenary Panel
Content Protection for Converged Services
14:30 – 15:45 | Monday, 9 October

Several content protection systems have been developed in the past years. Conditional access technologies have been developed originally for digital broadcast TV services. Digital rights management technologies have been developed originally for the protection of files in the Internet or mobile world. Several strategies exist to build as many convergent services as possible, as seamlessly as possible, with a high level of security. Technologies and systems are developed now to address these kinds of needs, but will we have appropriate solutions very soon? What have to be the assumptions on customer expectations? How can we develop technologies and make the rights owner buy these technologies? How can the telcos deal with the heterogeneity of security systems used by its partners and customers?
