Personal Broadband Applications and the Role of WiMAX
15:45 – 17:15 | Tuesday, 4 October
Broadband systems that allow for ubiquitous, always-on connection are enabling a new generation of personal services and applications for the end user. Such networks provide for the flexible and secure treatment of users' profiles, ensure the integrity of content and applications as they pass through the network, and allow for connectivity through any device or appliance in a fully portable or mobile environment. This session will examine the role of WiMAX in enabling such services and how it will interface with other network architectures in making personal broadband applications a reality.
