Dr. Melcher assumed his current position on April 2001. He represents and oversees all interests Deutsche Telekom AG is pursuing in Japan. Upon completion of a doctorate program in Business Administration, Dr. Melcher started an international management career path with the German chemical/pharmaceutical firm Boehringer Ingelheim, from Toronto, Canada to Buenos Aires, Argentina and Osaka, Japan.

Zhang Chunjiang

Mr. Chunjiang has been in his current role since 2003. From 1999 to 2003, he served as vice minister of the Ministry of Information Industry (MII). Prior to that, he was the director general of the Telecommunication Administration Bureau of MII. Mr. Chunjiang was also the chief of staff of the General Office of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) from 1996 to 1998. Further, he has served as deputy director general of the Administration of Telecommunication of MPT, director general of the Mobile Bureau of MPT, and deputy director general of the Administration Bureau of Posts and Telecommunications for the Liaoning province.

As the Executive Manager of Innovative IP Architecture Center of the company, Mr. Iizuka leads the R&D of IP related products/services including IPv6, wireless access, contents delivery platform, Digital TV transport system, and VoIP system. Since joining Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation in 1972, he has been active in the research and development of digital switching system, multimedia-related services, and in the international standardization of telecommunication systems.

Malcolm Wardlaw

Mr. Wardlaw is currently responsible for the mobility architecture, as well as the intelligence and applications architecture, within BT's 21CN program. His early career was spent working on operating systems, call control, and IN, and Mr. Wardlaw subsequently led much of BT's technical development on data networks, SMDS, ATM, Frame, IP, and MPLS – the broadband enablers. For the last three years, Mr. Wardlaw has returned to real-time service execution and applications.
