Prior to that, Dr. Leighton was the vice president of technology and services strategy at AT&T Labs and ran AT&T's Security Services business unit.

Mr. Ma was appointed to lead BT's presence in the Asia-Pacific region in January 2005. He is based in the company's regional headquarters in Hong Kong. Mr. Ma has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, much of which is based in the Asia-Pacific region. In his most recent role, he worked for Motorola Global Telecom Solution Sector as vice president and general manager of Asia. Prior to that, Mr. Ma worked for C&W Hong Kong Telecom in a number of senior executive positions.
