This session will look at broadband customer service from a wholesale and retail perspective, discussing with key industry players what the future strategy for the industry should be. The aim of the session will be to understand what products and services the wholesaler should provide in order to ensure that the service provider (and wholesaler) can support a long-term sustainable business, that it can differentiate itself and add value, and that the end customer can choose the right service provider according to their needs.

Ms. Simpson is currently working with innovative small global companies that enable fixed and mobile broadband services such as m-commerce, digital home living applications, and self-help customer-care services that reduce telcos operating costs. She was previously senior vice president of sales and marketing at Alcatel Asia-Pacific.

Speakers
Rob Butler, Director and Founder, Emotum, has spent the last 23 years involved in user-centric software creation. His extensive academic involvement covers mathematics, science, bio-medical engineering, electrical engineering, and the adoption of logic in software.

Hans-Henrik Westberg, Director, Broadband Product Development, Telenor, is responsible for developing the Internet and broadband product portfolio. Previously, he was responsible for introducing ADSL volume-based billing services to the residential market and more general business development in the IP network.
