Easing the Transition to the Next-Generation: Business Cases and Models
Tuesday, 31 May | 14:30 - 16:00
Moving to a next-generation broadband infrastructure represents a daunting shift for many service providers. As they contemplate re-architecting the network, they may have to replace existing hardware and software and strategically plan a path to take them well into the future. Although moving to the next-generation requires a major shift, there are several viable strategies and business models to ease this transition from a monumental "all at once" move to more gradual phased approaches that can even offset costs with incremental revenues. This panel examines several business cases and models for transitioning to next-generation infrastructure and ensuring greater success.
