Omnitron manufactures carrier-class fiber media converters and Network Interface Devices for FTTx First-Mile Broadband fiber access. Omnitron's copper/fiber and fiber/fiber media converters are managed or unmanaged, and designed for telecommunication, metropolitan, and service provider applications. iConverter 10/100M and GX/TM
The iConverter 10/100M and GX/TM are Network Interface Devices with built-in management that provide fiber optic access to securely managed demarcation points at the Customer Premises. The 10/100M is a 10/100Mbps Ethernet device, and the GX/TM is a 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet device. They are available as self-managed standalone units or as chassis plug-in modules that can manage an entire chassis of converters.

They support VLAN technology, Quality of Service (QoS) prioritization, port access control, and OAM management (IP-less) to increase management security and reduce the number of required IP addresses. Secure OAM management enables network managers to isolate and diagnose problems independent of user data traffic and channel configurations. The 10/100M also supports bandwidth control and Q-in-Q VLAN multi-tagging.
