Technologies on Display
MileGate
MileGate accommodates carrier grade broadband access, telephony and data service interfaces in a single Next Generation Access Node. It allows operators to maintain commodity telephony and broadband services while simultaneously migrating to VoIP NGN (Next Generation Network) and offering differentiating value-added Triple Play Services.

MileGate offers a wide range of interfaces:

  • ADSL/ADSL2+
  • Combo (POTS / ADSL2+)
  • EfM (Ethernet in the first mile) VDSL/VDSL2
  • EfM SHDSL

In order to overcome reach limitations of DSL technology and make sure a maximum of customers can be served, MileGate can be deployed in outdoor solutions. Thanks to its non blocking architecture, MileGate can support up to 20 Mbps simultaneously on all DSL ports, thus supporting large scale Triple Play roll-outs.

UMUX
The UMUX family is a next generation multi-service access system which is currently used in more than 100 countries worldwide by public and private network operators.

UMUX combines carrier-grade multi-service delivery over copper and fibre with traffic multiplexing and aggregation functions within a single network element. The services offered range from traditional telephony, broadband Internet access and private circuits to new services such as Ethernet Private Lines and VoIP.

The most recent enhancement of the platform - the IPLM Ethernet ADSL2+ interface module - transforms the access node into an IP DSLAM by simply adding an additional interface module. This allows network operators to deliver Triple Play services (voice, data, video) and existing telecommunications services from the same platform.
