Infineon's GEMINAX-PRO is the industry's highest-integration and lowest-power ADSL2+ chipset. Consisting of a 16-channel ADSL2+ DFE and a 4-channel AFE with integrated low-power Class D line drivers, GEMINAX PRO reduces power dissipation, footprint and overall system costs by up to 30 percent.

Infineon's revolutionary switched-mode "Class D" line drivers reduce the power dissipation of the line driver by 50 percent to less than 350 milliWatts per channel. In addition, GEMINAX PRO's features decreased chip count and per-channel footprint of only 500 square mm.

Remote Units (RUs) - typically constrained by power, area and battery back-up requirements - which incorporate GEMINAX-PRO will benefit from significant operational cost savings as operators can now exploit real estate in the central office more efficiently.

Supporting all eight VDSL2 profiles, VINAX leverages the full VDSL2 frequency spectrum of up to 30 MHz to drive symmetric 100Mbit/s over copper wires at distances greater than 350 meters (1150 ft). To meet carrier access market requirements for medium and long loops VINAX features transmit power of up to 20 dBm along with echo cancelling techniques to allow ADSL-like performance for long reach applications With VINAX, Triple Play services are made possible meeting end customer quality expectations for undisturbed video transmission and carrier grade Voice-Over-IP (VoIP).
