Soon-Ho Hong, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Telecommunication Systems Division, Telecommunication Network Business Unit, Samsung Electronics

Since joining Samsung in 1977, Mr. Hong has led the development of CDMA and WCDMA network systems, fixed network systems, and home and office solutions. His group was the first in the world to commercialize CDMA systems in 1995. Mr. Hong is currently leading the digital convergence of mobile and broadband solutions toward a ubiquitous communications environment. He received the Presidential Award from the Korean government for his contribution to CDMA technology development in 1996, and Samsung Technology Awards in 1984 and 1992.
