Delivering Managed Broadband Services to the Mass Market
This session will bring together experts in the broadband residential market to offer an insight into how a residential gateway can be used as a platform to deliver a wide range of managed, subscription-based services, which create new monthly revenues for service providers. By teaming up a provider of residential gateway software with a service provider and two application software companies, the audience will be provided with a complete picture of service development, deployment and management.
The discussion will address the range of applications that can be offered as subscription-based services to broadband subscribers, and how they can be provisioned, managed, and billed for.
Two application developers will provide input on how software applications (eg., firewall, URL filtering / parental control, etc.) can be optimized for the residential market and remotely managed in real-time. A service provider will provide perspective based on experience regarding how such managed applications generate added value for their users and have created significant new revenues streams.
